Malaga Airport completed the year 2015 with a record of 14.4 million passengers (a plus of 5% compared with 2014).

According to the forecasts at the Fitur tourism fair in Madrid in January 2016 the Costa del Sol prepares for another record-breaking year.
This summer season (end of March until end of October) 51 airlines are offering 13.5 million seats between Malaga and 123 destinations (15% more than last year).
The first peak level has been reached last week during the easter holidays. The Mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, explained that the hotel occupancy has passed 87% throughout the easter week, and 95% during the days of the celebration.
